k-9 Placement Program
ThePups & Pumps K-9 Placement Program is designed to help dogs who may need additional support, training, rehabilitation, or a more structured placement environment before transitioning into their next home.
We believe that a difficult history or behavioral challenge should not automatically determine a dog's future. Through individualized care, responsible placement, and evidence-informed rehabilitation, our goal is to give each dog the opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, and find a safe and appropriate home.

Could You Be the Right Placement?
A successful placement requires more than providing a home. It requires patience, consistency, understanding, and a willingness to continue supporting a dog's development.
We are looking for individuals and families who are willing to work with the Pups & Pumps team and provide an environment appropriate for the individual dog's needs.
Placement homes should be prepared to:
Provide a safe and stable environment
Follow individualized training and care recommendations
Provide appropriate daily exercise and enrichment
Maintain veterinary care
Communicate with the Pups & Pumps team
Practice patience and consistency
Continue appropriate training after placement
Understand that behavioral progress takes time
Be honest about their household, experience, and limitations
